Artifacts
In this section, I will break down a few different units and looking at how different parts of the unit measure on my rubric. I will be looking at artifacts from the entire arch of the unit, prep, lesson, and student work, in order to fully see the process and to evaluate the success in relation to my inquiry project.
Even before beginning this line of inquiry, I had a fascination with connecting students’ knowledge of history with current events. I have always felt that it is extremely important for students to understand what is happening in the world today and how we got to this place. I am constantly reminding my students that history has cyclical inertia and so only great events change the course of history.
Each unit I will look at includes 3-4 artifacts that create the arc of a unit and meet the preliminary standard of the rubric that there is a Teacher and Student section. You may either start at Oppression/Advocacy Unit and work through the units linearly or jump around to different units using the pictures below:
